Dr. Muhammed Sadique
Chairman, Bangladesh Public Service Commission
Dr. Muhammed Sadique was born on September 19, 1955 in Sunamganj, Bangladesh. He joined Bangladesh Public Service Commission as Chairman on 02 May, 2016. Before that he was a Memeber of the Commission since 03 November, 2014.Dr. Sadique visited U.S.A, U.K., India, K.S.A., Denmark, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Bhutan, Spain, Italy and Switzerland. He has numbers of Publication of his creative writings. His PhD thesis also published by the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh.Dr. Sadique a noted civil servant obtained his B. A.(Hons.) and Masters in Bangla Language and Literature in 1976 and 1977 respectively and studied Personnel Management in the University of Manchester, UK in 1994-95. He persued his PhD from Assam University of India. During his colorful and successful career in Civil Service, Dr. Sadique held different position in the public administration. He worked as Education Secretary to the Government and worked as Secretary of the Bangladesh Election Commission Secretariat. He served in various other important civil service positions including Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Director General of the Bangladesh Institute of Administration and Management(BIAM) Foundation, He worked a long time in the Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Academy as Director and Director General(in charge). He also worked as Founder Secretary, Nazrul Institute under the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. Dr. Sadique also worked in the different Ministries: Ministry of Industries, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Information including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He worked as First Secretary & Counsellor in the Embassy of Bangladesh to Sweden. Dr. Sadique has been actively involved in many socio-organizational activities. He is Life Member of the Bangla Academy and Asiatic Society of Bangladesh. Founder Member of Jatio kobita Porishad and Bangladesh writers Club. Only son of late Alhajj Md. Mobaswir Ali and late Mastura Begum, Dr. Sadique is married and his spouse is a Senior Member of the Bangladesh Judicial Service who is working as District Judge. He is blessed by one son Md. Kazim Ibn Sadique and one daughter Mastura Tasnim.
